Aston Martin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, the open-top version of its mid-engined hybrid supercar and the fastest open-cockpit Aston Martin ever made. The car makes its global debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, with first deliveries due in the third quarter of 2027.
Following the introduction of the Valhalla Coupe earlier this year, the Spider is Aston Martin’s first mid-engined, open-cockpit production supercar. Its mission is simple: more opportunities to enjoy the drive, without losing any of the Coupe’s ability on road and track.
Power comes from the same plug-in hybrid powertrain as the Coupe. A bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a flat-plane crank produces 828PS – the highest specific output of any Aston Martin combustion engine – and works with three electric motors that add a further 251PS. The result is a combined 1,079PS and 1,100Nm of torque, a predicted 0-62mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217mph.

What’s more, that 217mph is achievable with the roof off. A removable, stowable black fabric roof comes as standard and allows speeds of up to 124mph, while an optional carbon fibre hard top gives full access to top speed with the roof on. Take the roof off and a clip-in wind deflector lifts air over the occupants, while channelling cooling air to a reprofiled engine snorkel that now sits 35mm taller. When it’s not needed, the deflector folds into three and stows away in new 15-litre compartments in the sills.
Developed with Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the consulting arm of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team, the Spider is built around a carbon fibre tub. It keeps the Coupe’s active aerodynamics, recalibrated to stay consistent with the roof on or off and delivering more than 600kg of downforce with the roof fitted. The dihedral doors remain too, now frameless and smoother in operation, and a new carbon fibre Touring Seat comes as standard.
Adrian Hallmark, Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin, said: “High speed or low speed. Rain or shine. Roof on or roof off. Road or track. Valhalla Spider ticks every box.”
