Valhalla Spider is the ultimate expression of open-air driving from Aston Martin: the brand’s first mid-engined, open-cockpit production supercar, and the fastest open-top Aston Martin ever built.
Building on the acclaimed Valhalla Coupe, the Spider has a clear purpose: to multiply the moments of driving pleasure without surrendering any of the dynamic breadth that makes Valhalla so accessible and so rewarding on road and track alike. Remarkably, its electronically limited 217mph top speed remains within reach with the roof removed.
Developed in close partnership with Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), the consultancy arm of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team, Valhalla Spider draws on F1® expertise in dynamics, aerodynamics and advanced materials, pushing the boundaries of supercar engineering into roof-off form.
With its flowing coupe silhouette carefully preserved, Valhalla Spider makes a design statement that is second to none. First customer deliveries are expected to begin in Q3 2027.

Valhalla Spider shares the Coupe’s plug-in hybrid powertrain in full, delivering 1,079PS and 1,100Nm. A pair of electric motors drives the front e-axle, providing full Electric Torque Vectoring (E-TV) to sharpen agility and reinforce stability.
A third motor, integrated alongside Aston Martin’s bespoke eight-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, works with the V8 to drive the rear axle and electronic differential. Together with the High-Performance Battery, the three e-motors contribute a further 251PS, giving Valhalla Spider the performance of a hypercar in the form of a supercar.

At the heart of Valhalla Spider sits a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a flat-plane crank, producing 828PS on its own. Unique to Valhalla, it achieves 207bhp per litre, the highest specific output of any combustion engine Aston Martin has ever built.
With no mechanical link between front and rear axles, drive to every wheel is managed continuously by Aston Martin’s Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control (IVC). The result is relentless, perfectly metered acceleration, whether the roof is on or off.

IVC oversees suspension, braking, steering, active aerodynamics and powertrain as one, working in harmony with four driver-selectable drive modes. It reads vehicle behaviour and driver inputs in real time, shaping the Spider’s character to deliver an organic, natural feel at every speed.
Valhalla Spider carries over the Coupe’s extensive whole-vehicle active aerodynamics. Moving surfaces front and rear, combined with precise control of underbody airflow, constantly balance downforce for grip and consistency, or trim drag for efficiency. With the roof fitted, maximum downforce exceeds 600kg.

Valhalla Spider’s roof system preserves the Coupe’s clean, flowing lines while offering a solution for every scenario. A removable black fabric roof comes as standard and stows on board, so full weather protection is always close at hand; with it fitted, the Spider can reach a class-leading 124mph.
For those who want it all, an optional carbon fibre hard top unlocks the full 217mph top speed with the roof in place. A rain cover is also supplied for when the car is parked.

Remarkably, Valhalla Spider reaches its maximum speed with the roof removed, making it the fastest open-cockpit Aston Martin ever. A bespoke wind deflector clips into place when the roof comes off, guiding cooling air down to a reprofiled roof snorkel, now 35mm taller, while lifting airflow clear of the occupants for greater comfort.
When the roof goes back on, the deflector folds into three and stows in new 15-litre sill compartments. Revised active aerodynamics and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) calibrations detect whether the roof is on or off and adapt accordingly, maintaining the same balance, stability and driver confidence in either configuration.

At the core of Valhalla Spider is a version of the Coupe’s bespoke carbon fibre tub, designed and engineered by AMPT. Upper and lower sections are moulded using a blend of Resin Transfer Moulding and F1®-derived autoclave technology, creating a single, exceptionally stiff, strong and light passenger cell.
The signature carbon fibre dihedral doors remain, now frameless and with refined kinematics for smoother operation. Subtly increased curvature along the top edge of the door glass also eases entry and exit with the roof fitted.
