The DB12 S joins the DBX S and Vantage S in reviving Aston Martin’s proud tradition of applying the ‘S’ suffix to the highest-performing model derivative – a lineage stretching back to 1953’s glorious DB3S road racer.
But this isn’t simply about power. Launch Control has been optimised with gearshift times cut by half, while a new S-specific throttle map delivers more progressive, intuitive response to driver inputs. Recalibrated Bilstein DTX dampers, a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, and optimised suspension geometry combine to sharpen agility and precision. Further tuning of the rear E-diff) enhances connection ans response, enabling drivers to use more throttle earlier in corners for maximum engagement and reward. Standard Carbon Ceramic Brakes save 27kg in unsprung weight while delivering increased stopping power.
Visually, the DB12 S is immediately distinguished with its dual-element front splitter, gloss black bonnet louvres, hand-made ‘S’ badges below the fender strakes, fixed rear spoiler, and signature quad exhaust tailpipes. Inside, the ‘S’ character is unmistakable thanks to a red anodised drive mode controller, red seatbelts, and unique trim combinations including the exclusive Accelerate leather and Alcantara package.
