The DB12 S becomes the halo model of Aston Martin’s legendary DB bloodline, taking the driver-focussed DB12 and elevating it to exhilarating new heights. Joining the exclusive ranks of Aston Martin’s revived ‘S’ models – a tradition dating back to the glorious DB3S of 1953 – the DB12 S honours a proud heritage while pushing the very boundaries of what a luxury Super Tourer can achieve.
At the heart of DB12 S lies an even more potent version of the formidable 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, now producing 700PS and 800Nm of torque. The result is scintillating acceleration from 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 202mph. Lightning-fast shift times have been halved, which together with the new throttle calibration, delivers immediate response to driver inputs. The distinctive quad tailpipe system creates an unforgettable soundtrack.
An extensive suite of chassis enhancements maximises agility and driver engagement without compromising comfort or refinement. Recalibrated Bilstein DTX dampers work in harmony with a stiffer rear anti-roll bar and optimised suspension geometry to deliver exceptional poise and precision. Standard-fit Carbon Ceramic Brakes save 27kg in unsprung weight while offering increased stopping power and fade-free performance.
The DB12 S announces its elevated performance credentials through a new dual-element front splitter, gloss black bonnet louvres, fixed rear spoiler, and stacked quad tailpipes, all combining to create unmistakable visual drama. Hand-made ‘S’ badges below the fender strakes are a discreet but enduring mark of performance.
Pure potential, perfectly realised. The hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 of the DB12 S has been elevated to an entirely new threshold of performance. Every tuneable parameter has been meticulously optimised, pushing power to a class-leading 700 PS and delivering a relentless 800 Nm of torque.
The DB12 S features next-generation corner braking control, integrated within the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP). By leveraging a six-dimensional accelerometer and advanced brake-slip control, the system predicts and manages load transfer through every bend. This provides sharper turn-in and enhanced mid-corner agility, offering the nimble feel of a shorter wheelbase with the refined stability of a Grand Tourer.
DB12 S offers sharper driving characteristics without compromising on comfort. A thicker rear anti-roll bar increases stiffness by 7%, reducing body roll and improving agility. Calibration changes to the DTX dampers have broadened out their range of capabilities, not only sharpening responses, but also adding ride refinement.
Engineered for driver focus, the DB12 S interior builds on that of the Super Tourer with a unique suite of additional S features. Optional red anodised aluminium drive mode rotary, red seat belts and contrast stitching define the S identity, whilst S treadplates mark the threshold. Lightweight Alcantara® trim and optional chevron quilting add sporting intensity. A new carbon fibre surround on the Driver Instrument Cluster completes the performance-orientated environment.
In DB12 S, sound becomes part of the performance. Resonating from every corner. 1,170 watts of pure audio authority delivered through 15 speakers to create a wall of precision-tuned sound. From immersive soundscapes to the crystal clarity of QuantumLogic® Immersion™, it delivers a soundtrack as compelling as the V8’s own.
At the heart of the cabin sits Aston Martin’s proprietary infotainment system. A fully bespoke, multi-screen interface that is designed with razor-sharp responsiveness. Dual 10.25-inch Pure Black high-resolution displays offer ultra-responsive feedback with a 30-nanosecond reaction time. Delivering clarity and speed in equal measure. Wireless Apple CarPlay® Ultra and Android Auto™ integration ensure seamless connectivity.
