The elegant and classically beautiful lines of the Zenvo Tur lean more towards a traditional GT car. The Zenvo design department had a very clear ambition for the Aurora programme. Not wanting to design ‘just another hypercar’, Zenvo wanted to ‘break the mould’ of traditional automotive design, to create a unique car rooted in the Danish design philosophy of form following function. Both Aurora models have been developed to optimise each element of the design through a carefully balanced blend of each attribute, as opposed to compromising any one area through an overriding pursuit of top speed, power or styling. A key factor in this process was ensuring the styling was aggressive and elegant, while guaranteeing handling and driving engagement were not compromised.
The ultimate iteration of the Aurora, Zenvo describes the Tur as an ‘iron fist in a velvet glove.’ The mid-mounted 6.6-litre quad-turbocharged V12 engine, which MAHLE Powertrain develops, produces 1,250 bhp and revs to 9,800rpm. This bespoke powerplant is a 90-degree hot-V configuration and is mid-mounted behind the cockpit of both Aurora variants. The Zenvo Tur engine’s phenomenal performance is enhanced even further by a lightweight triple electric motor system, generating a staggering 600bhp. The resulting 1,850bhp seamlessly blends astronomical levels of instant power and torque, resulting in an estimated 280mph top speed, delivering naturally aspirated engine-style throttle response and making this powertrain the most powerful V12 engine ever fitted to a road car.
