The engineering of the Phantom makes it stable and composed on the road, whilst precise and balanced controls turn every journey into a pleasurable one. At the usual motorway speed of 70mph, the 6.8 litre V12 engine is still using just a tenth of its potential power. The quality of the eight-speed gearbox, meanwhile, ensures that the Phantom never loses its poise or behaves erratically despite the enormous amount of power available (the engine is capable of a huge 720Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm).
Sophisticated amenities can be accessed through the Phantom’s Control Centre Display. Alongside facilities for making and receiving telephone calls and playing DVDs, the display also connects you to the outside world with a USB and Aux-In port. The console itself is discreetly sized at just 8.8”, befitting the minimalist style of the vehicle’s interior. Indeed, when it is not needed, the system folds into the dashboard at the touch of a button, leaving a metal or veneer facia indistinguishable from the rest of the cabin materials.
Like every stylistic aspect of the vehicle’s exterior or interior, the performance characteristics of your Phantom can be configured to your exact requirements. For example, choosing the Dynamic Package means that your vehicle is fitted with a firmer suspension, a thicker steering wheel, a retuned gearbox and a sharper, more linear braking system.
