The MOT test is a legal requirement for all cars over three years old and a useful check of key safety systems, from brakes and tyres to lights and emissions.

At H.R. Owen Maserati our trained technicians will thoroughly check your Maserati, recording any mechanical flaws and advisory issues. If your car needs any work we’ll always ask your permission first. Your MOT test will be performed quickly and efficiently, while you read or surf the net in our comfortable customer lounge and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Alternatively we offer a collection and delivery service at a charge.

Like any other vehicle component, your Maserati air conditioning systems requires maintenance. Micro-organisms can contaminate the system which, over time, can cause unpleasant odours. Refrigerant gas may also start to leak, causing the air conditioning to run inefficiently and to increase fuel consumption. We recommend that the air conditioning system is serviced every two years in order to replenish the liquids used by the system and to ensure all components are working correctly.

Within an hour a factory-trained technician can restore your air conditioning system, including an anti-bacterial clean, your Air Conditioning service includes:

• Recharging refrigerant to recommended levels
• Adding fresh system oil
• Check operation of air conditioning system
• Full visual inspection, temperature and leak checks
• Recovery of refrigerant, evacuation of air and moisture from system
• Full anti-bacterial clean

As a Maserati driver, you undoubtedly appreciate high performance. You’ll know what a critical role tyre condition plays in cornering, braking and general safety. However, tyres wear gradually and it’s sometimes easy to miss the tell-tale signs that they need replacing.

The legal minimum tread depth is 1.6mm across 75% of the tyre, but a tyre’s wet-road braking performance will deteriorate significantly once it’s worn below 3mm. For this reason alone we do not advocate wearing tyres down to the minimum – your safety, driving enjoyment and the safety of other road users are worth more than a marginal saving.

Our technicians will check the condition of your tyres, inspecting tread depth and pressure, before making any recommendations for new tyres. H.R. Owen Maserati offers a large stock of tyres recommended for your car by the manufacturer and we will fit and balance replacements quickly, with minimum inconvenience to you.
