The Torcal is Bentley’s fourth model line. It joins the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga, and it is the first Bentley powered purely by electricity. Yet above all it is a Bentley. It is designed, engineered and handcrafted in Crewe with the support of suppliers from across the UK. Its name comes from the stacked limestone formations of El Torcal de Antequera in Andalusia, and its character comes from more than a century of effortless performance, supreme comfort and British craftsmanship. The Torcal is a low, sleek SUV with a long wheelbase, short overhangs and powerful rear haunches. It introduces a confident new design language, from the illuminated diamond grille to Bentley’s modernised emblem, which appears here on a production car for the first time.
The Torcal is offered in two versions. The core Torcal produces 821 PS and 1,194 Nm and reaches 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. The more sporting Torcal S raises output to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm, the highest torque of any Bentley ever built, for a 2.8-second sprint and a top speed of 162 mph. Both use twin electric motors and an 800V, 113 kWh battery that gives up to 375 miles of WLTP range. A 400 kW charger adds 100 miles in around seven minutes, and the battery is covered by a 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty. Fully active suspension, a first for Bentley, works with All Wheel Steering to give the comfort of a Flying Spur and the agility of a Continental GT Speed. Four Experience Modes tune light, sound, climate and information to suit your mood. Inside, the Torcal widens the Bentley palette further than ever with 100% Merino wool, Ombré Walnut and Sunburst Aluminium by Mulliner.
