The Flying Spur is the definitive expression of the range, a car that captures everything the Flying Spur name has always stood for. Its new single headlamps, inspired by the focused gaze of a big cat, sit either side of a black matrix grille with chrome surround. Matt black lower bumper grilles lend the front a refined authority, while a new frameless tail lamp design and cleaner rear surfaces give the car a contemporary, seamless finish.
The interior is crafted by hand to deliver an experience no mass-produced car can match. Hand-finished, fluted Nappa leather seats are paired with Dinamica on the roof lining and rear headrest cushions. Standard Crown Cut Walnut veneer brings warmth and depth to the hard surfaces, with more than 80 exterior colour options and extensive veneer and hide choices available to make each car entirely individual.
The Flying Spur is driven by Bentley’s High Performance Hybrid, a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 working in concert with a powerful electric motor to produce 671 bhp and 930 Nm of torque. The result is a 0–60 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph, alongside the ability to cover up to 50 miles on electric power alone, with zero tailpipe emissions.
Five driving modes – EV Drive, Hybrid, Hold, Charge and Sport Hold – give you complete control over how and when the powertrain deploys its energy. Plugging in to an 11kW charger means a full charge takes as little as two hours and 45 minutes.
Bentley Active Chassis with all-wheel steering, Bentley Dynamic Ride and torque vectoring delivers composed, capable handling in every condition, while twin-valve dampers allow the car to be genuinely comfortable in Comfort mode and genuinely exhilarating in Sport.
