While purposeful, the Ghost’s "yacht line" exterior styling is also simple and understated in the traditional Rolls-Royce manner.

Step through the highly flexible rear-hinged "coach" doors to find a spacious interior constructed from quality materials. Then take the vehicle out on the road to experience the power delivery of the V12 engine and the ride quality provided by the four-cornered air suspension for the first time.

Overview

Rolls-Royce Ghost

The dignified, regal lines of the Ghost’s steel monocoque chassis only hints at the vehicle’s power and handling. In most circumstances, the 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 engine merely serves to convey you gracefully around urban areas, fast roads and country lanes alike. When necessary, the 563bhp and ferocious torque available (780Nm at just 1,500rpm) make it possible to achieve acceleration of 0-60mph in a mere 4.7 seconds.

From the natural wood veneers to the thick lamb’s wool carpets, the materials of the interior cabin will have been scrutinised dozens of times to pass the quality control standards of our craftsmen. Such a labour-intensive process is the only method by which we can be sure of meeting the expectations and precise requirements of each of our customers.

Technology

Rolls-Royce Ghost

The Ghost combines the elegance of its namesake with an array of useful automotive technology. The car’s variety of safety and driver-convenience tools ensure that you arrive at your destination relaxed and content.

The shift-by-wire technology of the automatic eight-speed ZF transmission means that gear changes are nearly undetectable. The impression is one of limitless reserves of power, right up to the electronically governed top speed of 155mph. Regardless of speed, the four-cornered air suspension system and electronic variable damping provides the characteristic Rolls-Royce stability and refinement, neutralising even the worst bumps and potholes.

Comprehensive safety measures are essential for a large saloon with such potential in terms of speed and acceleration. Side-impact beams in the front and rear doors, progressive rear crumple zones and all-encompassing airbags provide comprehensive protection in the event of an accident.

The active safety equipment of the Advanced Crash and Safety Management system, however, reduce the likelihood of such an occurrence. The ACSM controls an assortment of protective equipment which includes Anti-Roll Stabilisation, Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control and Cornering Brake Control.
