The Phantom is Rolls-Royce’s signature car. Each one is an expression of the company’s aim of producing automobiles of unmatched quality. Even without the Spirit of Ecstasy ornament and unmistakeable front grille, the Phantom could not be mistaken for anything other than a Rolls-Royce.
The modern car pays homage to the styling of the six previous editions of the Phantom with its extended prow, imposing rectangular profile and 2:1 wheel-height ratio. The Phantom’s timeless style is accompanied by a number of 21st-century innovations, from the Adaptive LED headlamps to the aluminium space frame.
No matter how hectic your surroundings, the Phantom’s cabin gives you a feeling of tranquillity from the moment you enter its spacious confines. The privacy glass between the C-pillars increases the sense of separation from the noise and haste of daily life, leaving you to enjoy the texture and aroma of the thick lambs’ wool rugs and lovingly prepared leatherwork.
Despite being instantly recognisable as a Rolls-Royce, it is rare for any two Phantoms to be designed in exactly the same way. Our Bespoke programme enables you to create a vehicle tailored to your exact requirements. For example, the Phantom comes with a choice of 16 main colours, but 44,000 different hues are available – meaning that you can have any pattern or colour scheme you desire.
The engineering of the Phantom makes it stable and composed on the road, whilst precise and balanced controls turn every journey into a pleasurable one. At the usual motorway speed of 70mph, the 6.8 litre V12 engine is still using just a tenth of its potential power. The quality of the eight-speed gearbox, meanwhile, ensures that the Phantom never loses its poise or behaves erratically despite the enormous amount of power available (the engine is capable of a huge 720Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm).
Sophisticated amenities can be accessed through the Phantom’s Control Centre Display. Alongside facilities for making and receiving telephone calls and playing DVDs, the display also connects you to the outside world with a USB and Aux-In port. The console itself is discreetly sized at just 8.8”, befitting the minimalist style of the vehicle’s interior. Indeed, when it is not needed, the system folds into the dashboard at the touch of a button, leaving a metal or veneer facia indistinguishable from the rest of the cabin materials.
Like every stylistic aspect of the vehicle’s exterior or interior, the performance characteristics of your Phantom can be configured to your exact requirements. For example, choosing the Dynamic Package means that your vehicle is fitted with a firmer suspension, a thicker steering wheel, a retuned gearbox and a sharper, more linear braking system.
