Rimac C Two

The Rimac C Two is a pure electric GT hypercar that is as capable on track as it is crossing continents. Configurable, personal and extremely powerful, the C Two is the perfect example of what is possible when true innovation and passion are allowed free rein. Developing on the knowledge attained from Rimac Concept One, the all-new Rimac C Two connects the greatest materials and personalised technology to form a product that is both innovative and extremely practical.

Designed by Rimac’s in-house team, the C Two captures Rimac’s unmistakeable styling features – such as the signature ‘tie’ design on the flanks – demonstrating timeless, elegant design. Rimac’s hypercar also incorporates a variety of all-new, groundbreaking technologies, such as a full carbon fibre monocoque with bonded carbon roof, integrated battery pack and merged rear carbon subframe. The hypercar’s body is pure carbon fibre and crash structures are formed from aluminium, resulting in both a light and exceptionally strong structure.

Housed in the C Two is a liquid-cooled Lithium Manganese Nickel battery with a 120kWh capacity, allowing for a range of 403 miles. It’s enormously powerful, too, producing up to 1,914hp, allowing for an eye-watering top speed of 258 mph (412 km/h), 0-60 mph in 1.85 seconds and 0-100 mph (161 km/h) in 4.3 seconds. In addition to this, the C Two is able to maintain its extraordinary acceleration during a full-throttle cycle, reaching 186 mph (300 km/h) from rest in just 11.8 seconds. Such shattering ability equates to a quarter-mile time of just 9.1 seconds – an amount usually only associated with specialist racing machinery.

Internally, the hypercar features a triplet of high-definition TFT screens (cluster, central screen and co-driver’s display), as well as a host of elegantly tactile billet aluminium rotary controls and switches – providing the driver with a resolutely analogue feel tailored to make use of cutting-edge digital technology. Other electronic elements incorporated by Rimac include real-time telemetry information (downloadable to digital devices) and a Driving Coach configuration, which is capable of overlaying selected race tracks in real-time.

In 2013, the Rimac Concept One took the automotive rule book and threw it to the wind, being the first production EV to take on the world’s fastest production hypercars. Now, Rimac has emerged once again to plant its flag at the forefront of the automotive space race. From a small Croatian start-up, Rimac has risen through the ranks to take its place as one of the most respected manufacturers in the EV market. With a proposed top speed of 258mph, the C_Two generates 1,888bhp from four independent electric motors - powered by a 120kWh battery that’s capable of charging from 0-80% in less than 30 minutes. Like the Pininfarina Battista, the C_Two is limited to only 150 examples and designed to reach 60mph from a standstill in just 1.85 seconds. With a claimed range of 402 miles on a single charge, this latest Rimac builds on the incredible legacy of the Concept One, first leading the EV hypercar market into contention with petrol-power, and now comfortably surpassing it.
