The GranCabrio is truly unique, a car unlike any other – and it’s the first four-seater cabriolet from the legendary Maserati design team. The roof folds down easily for open-top motoring, taking less than 30 seconds to fully collapse or unfold. It uses the same styling and technology as the GranTurismo to deliver roaring performance, powered by a 4.7 litre V8 engine.
Inspired by the iconic GranTurismo, the Maserati GranCabrio is a lithe convertible model. Carefully crafted by Pininfarina, the master coachbuilder, the attention to detail is evident in the chrome accents and LED light clusters, comprising of more than 90 individual lights.
From the side, the lower ground clearance and elongated bonnet give the car an agile look. It has an aerodynamic shape for smooth handling, with a bold sweeping ‘V’ shape towards the front. It’s no surprise that the GranCabrio has one of the best drag coefficients in its class, whether you drive with the roof up or down.
The choice of custom accessories for the Maserati GranCabrio allows you to make your car individual. The soft-top roof is available in six colours, and the choice of interior trims and fittings is truly exceptional. You can also customise the colour of the wheel rims and brake callipers.
The interior has been designed with the same high level of attention – the GranCabrio is the only soft-top vehicle of its kind to seat four adults, and the full leather upholstery ensures total comfort. It’s also fitted with cutting-edge technology, which includes braking assistance.
A robust eight-cylinder engine powers the Maserati GranCabrio, giving you 450bhp. It offers an exceptional 50kg/m of torque, driving up to 4,750rpm. The engine speed at maximum power is an even more impressive 7,000rpm, giving a 0-60 speed of just five seconds. The GranCabrio achieves all of this whilst producing low carbon emissions, meeting tough European environmental standards.
The six-speed ZF automatic transmission works in harmony with the engine, using a built-in hydraulic torque converter to keep gear changes seamless. The transmission has four modes, allowing you to adapt the car’s performance to the road ahead. You can change gears in Manual mode using the racing-style paddles mounted into the steering column, or by using the ergonomically designed gearstick.
Maserati has ensured the highest standards in every aspect of the GranCabrio, including safety. The Maserati Stability Program (MSP) electronically optimises the driving dynamic to keep you stable, and the high performance brakes work with six piston callipers to deliver instantly responsive braking. The suspension is set with the weight distributed slightly towards the rear of the car, resulting in reliable and more predictable handling.
