Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder

2009 - 2013

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder delivers a unique driving experience, combining the vivid performance and handling you would expect from a Lamborghini with the particular pleasures that only a convertible super sports car can deliver. With more power, an all-new chassis and permanent all-wheel drive, this unmistakable car builds on the advances of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 and is part of a huge success story.

Since its launch in 2003, more than 8,500 models bearing the Gallardo name have left the Sant’Agata production facility, making it Lamborghini’s bestselling car to date.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder displays the precise lines and clean surfaces that are classic Lamborghini. There is no unnecessary ornamentation anywhere. Even more than its coupé relative, the Spyder has a powerful wedge profile, complemented by a neat, tightly cut soft top. As ever, form is following function everywhere.

The low purposeful front end contributes to aerodynamic performance, while the larger air intakes increase air flow to the now more powerful engine. The spoiler, positioned low between the air intakes, enhances aerodynamic stability at high speeds.

However beautiful the details may be, they have an important function. The rear diffuser has been reshaped to deliver more downforce and, together with the smooth underbody, contributes to the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder’s excellent directional stability.

Although featuring the iconic Lamborghini V10 configuration, the engine is newly developed. With 5.2 litres, it produces 560hp at 8,000rpm and achieves a class-leading 107.6hp per litre. Maximum torque of 540Nm is reached at 6,500rpm, with a flat torque curve ensuring generous thrust at all engine speeds.

Despite being capable of 0-100km/h in four seconds and a maximum speed of 324km/h, this advanced engine is now notably more fuel efficient than its predecessor and produces 18 percent less CO2.

A sophisticated permanent all-wheel drive system transfers this spectacular performance to the road. Unique to Lamborghini in this configuration, it distributes power at a standard rate of 30/70 front to rear, and adapts to changing road conditions in milliseconds.

A traditional six-speed manual gearbox can be chosen for maximum engagement, or you can go for the newly improved e-Gear automated transmission. Now lighter and 40 percent quicker than before in corsa mode, e-Gear allows smooth instant changes from the steering wheel paddles between the transmission’s six ratios.
