The standard Bentayga 6.0 W12 doesn’t lack for luxury, but the Mulliner edition moves even higher up the scale of craftsmanship and individuality. Optional duo-tone paint finish visually separates bonnet and cabin from the lower bodywork, making them appear as if floating above the road. Wheels are 22" Paragon designs, the lower panels are finished in body colour and the lower bumper grilles are bright chromed, all serving to distinguish the Bentayga Mulliner from other models in the range.
But it’s when you open the vault-like door and settle into the hand-crafted interior that the Mulliner team shows its full portfolio of skills. To complement the duo-tone exterior, there’s a striking front/rear colour split for the upholstery, which is available in a choice of seven suggested colourways (though as ever, you can also specify your own shades). All seats are contrast stitched and feature unique Mulliner embroidery.
The Ombré veneer set is another unique concept, its colour transitioning from Black through to traditional Burr Walnut from front to rear as the veneer set wraps around the interior. Together with the front/rear upholstery colour spilt, this creates two unique environments within one interior; focused and sporting in the front, calm and relaxed in the rear.
Additional touches include mood lighting, illuminated Mulliner tread plates and Bentley LED welcome lamps. Rear seat passengers can relax and enjoy a glass of something cool from the illuminated chiller cabinet, served in bespoke Cumbria Crystal flutes, secure in the knowledge that the active anti-roll will prevent them from spilling a drop. Music and entertainment, if required, are provided by the Naim for Bentley 1,950-Watt audio system. A Linley Hamper (with integral fridge) is an optional choice for fans of al fresco dining.
