LAID BACK CRUISER THAT CAN DELIVER FEROCIOUS POWER
The Virage Volante is a comfortable, laid-back cruiser that can also deliver ferocious power when necessary, thanks to the range of its engine and the flexibility of its suspension. With 85% of its torque available at just 1500rpm, it is just as adept when weaving through traffic as it is on twisting B-roads. The vehicle can seat a driver and three passengers in an interior featuring electrically adjustable and heated seats, a leather sports steering wheel, and a high-
definition satellite navigation system developed in association with Garmin. When the roof is lowered the occupants can enjoy the fresh air and the roar of the engine, with wind buffeting kept to a minimum by the collapsible wind deflector in the rear. When raised, the soft-top provides seclusion from road and wind noise as well as the elements.
EXCELLENT SUPPLY OF TORQUE
The 490bhp supplied by the 6.0-litre V12 engine of the Virage Volante make it possible to accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 183mph (figures identical to those of the Virage Coupé).
It also shares the Coupé’s excellent supply of torque at low revs and adaptable suspension. The dampers of the double-wishbone suspension can be adjusted to provide a comfortable, cosseting ride or a firm precise one, according to the road type and surface, weather conditions, and your own preferences. The Volante compensates for the loss of a roof by the addition of a rear subframe to enhance body rigidity.
