THE SECOND-GENERATION MODEL
The second-generation Vanquish pays homage to its namesake and predecessor, whilst incorporating numerous elements from the One-77. Amongst the stylistic cues to come from the limited-edition supercar are the similar LED rear light blades, side strakes, and bonnet vents. Another notable feature is the new Aero Duct on the boot lid, which (as well as adding to the elegant looks of the Vanquish) offsets rear-end lift at the rear when travelling at high speeds.
In a first for an Aston Martin, the body panels of the Vanquish are constructed entirely from carbon fibre. The huge strength and light weight of this material gives the new edition 25% more torsional rigidity than the DBS. Accordingly, the second-generation model gives the driver outstanding cornering ability and resistance to body roll, as well as complementing the existing safety measures
0-60 IN 3.6 SECONDS
The normally aspirated 6.0 litre V12 engine of the Vanquish provides maximum power of 576 PS (568bhp) and 630Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This thrusts the Vanquish from a standing start to 60mph in a mere 3.6 seconds and giving it a top speed of 201mph.
There is also expansive headroom and legroom by the standards of most high-performance cars – enough for Aston Martin to present you with the option of two rear seats, if you need to make your Vanquish into a grand tourer. 368 litres of boot space also allows you to fit much more than the standard set of golf clubs in the back.
