BUILT FOR PURE ENJOYMENT
Built for pure driving enjoyment, the “Sport” edition of the V8 Vantage Roadster offers a fiercer performance and more muscular looks than the original. The most humdrum of journeys is enlivened by its pace and handling, along with the accompanying roar of the 4.7-litre V8 engine.
The fine detailing of the interior includes standard features such as embroidered “Vantage S” seats and carpet logos and an iridium silver centre console with graphite inner finish. Electronically adjustable seats with memory settings enable you to find the most comfortable seating position, with the full-grain leather cushioning you from the S Roadster’s firm suspension.
LIGHTEST CONVERTIBLE IN THE RANGE
At 1690kg, the V8 Vantage S Roadster is the lightest convertible in the Aston Martin range. Although strengthening the structure of the vehicle to compensate for the loss of the roof has made it 80kg heavier than its S Coupé counterpart, any compromise in performance has been kept to a minimum. The Roadster and the S Coupé share the same maximum speed of 190mph and 0-60mph of under 4 seconds.
The soft-top roof opens and closes in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30mph. Importantly, it does not disrupt the proportions of the car or make it unattractively bulky at the rear. The leather-trimmed buttresses on the rear deck highlight its low stance, as well as housing the anti-roll bars. When raised, the roof effectively cuts out intrusive noise.
