Those sensuous lines and distinctive Aston ‘face’ remain unchanged, but the new DB9 GT has subtly sharpened up its act. It’s all in the detail; new-style 20" diamond turned wheels, gloss black front splitter and rear diffuser, black headlamp cover plates and black-bordered tail pipes distinguish the 16MY DB9 GT from its predecessor and give it that extra touch of dark menace. You’ll also find black enamel infill on the wing badge and a new GT badge on the tail.
Inside, the dark theme continues with Piano Black fascia and Iridium trim. Aston Martin’s design team has created new-look fluted style seats and door inserts with the micro perforation that was previously only available on the Vanquish. Headrest embroidery features the GT emblem and there’s a sill plaque with the full model name. The steering wheel is Alcantara™ covered and there’s the option to choose the steering wheel design from the rare Aston Martin One-77.
Another change in the DB9 GT interior is the all-new AM II infotainment system, offering a more user-friendly menu system, better text message integration and an all-new ‘vehicle status’ menu item. Now you can see real-time power and torque output meters as well as check tyre pressures on the move. Detail refinements, but you’ll appreciate them on that long continental tour.
