Jack Barclay launches the new Breitling

NEW VISION

Exalting the finest mechanisms within powerful and refined bodywork.  Combining the ultimate in performance and luxury.  Following its own path, well off the beaten track.  Such has always been Bentley's mission in designing its legendary cars.  Such is the spirit that inspired the new Bentley GMT, the latest Breitling for Bentley creation.  This chronograph is entirely original, starting with its bold design.  A genuine wrist sculpture, the Bentley GMT has been drawn in a single sweep, seamlessly integrating the wristband into the case.  This aesthetic sophistication has also resulted in an attractive and unprecedented asymmetrical lug design.  The new black rubber strap - a first in the Breitling for Bentley collection - lends an extremely contemporary touch and provides a discreet reminder of the tyres on the famous British automobiles, while its ultra-precise clasp mechanism ensures an impeccable hold on the wrist.  The generous dimensions of the bezel highlight the elegant knurled motif, a Bentley signature feature, while creating a superb contrast with the pure lines of the case.  The finely crafted dial is adorned with raised numerals and hours-markers, as well as totalizer rims inspired by Bentley dashboards.  The voluminous pushpieces reinforce the technical look of the watch and the smooth manoeuvrability of the controls.  The Bentley GMT is issued in steel as well as in an extremely precious red gold version.  Both models are designed to be teamed with either the Speed bracelet or the GMT rubber strap exclusive to this chronograph.  Innovative aesthetics and original details:  a new vision in a collection that continues to take its own road.

NEW HORIZONS

A born traveller, the Bentley BMT brings the world to the wrist thanks to an ingenious multiple timezone display system.  The watch is equipped with an additional independent hour hand, distinguished by its red colour and its hollowed triangular tip, which performs one full turn of the dial in 24 hours.  The pushpiece integrated into the left side of the case serves to move the hand forward in one-hour increments in order to display the second timezone around the rim of the dial - while distinguishing between day-time and night-time hours.  Another road comfort features is its rotating inner bezel bearing the names of 24 cities, enabling the Bentley GMT to display the time in all time zones around the world in relation to the hour shown by the 24-hour hand.  The user need only turn the bezel and place the desired timezone facing the red hand, and can then at a glance read off times around the world on the 24-hour scale - from New York to Bangkok, from London to Tokyo and from Abu Dhabi to Sydney.  This clever system is easily and quickly handled by means of the sophisticated pinion bezel device.  In terms of performance, the new Calibre 47B, chronometer-certified like all Breitling movements, boasts another exclusive Breitling for Bentley technical feature: a "30-second chronograph".  The central chronograph hand performs one sweep of the dial in half a minute, instead of the usual 60 seconds, enabling readings accurate to within 1/8th of a second.  A genuine invitation to travel and to set new records: broad new horizons from Breitling for Bentley.
