The Buckinghamshire Golf Club 8th July 2008
Squally showers were the order of the day for the third society event of the year.
The Buckinghamshire Golf Club played host to what was our dealer qualifying event into the National Bentley Golf Classic tournament.
However, the wind and rain didn’t deter anyone and 36 players teed off and with the top two Society members able to qualify to the National Final at Bovey Castle in September much was riding on the outcome.
Neil Carthy was victorious with a magnificent 39 points and Andy Smith took second place with 35. The ‘best guest’ prize was won by Bob Lane also with 35 points. The fourth and final event of the year will take place at the London Golf Club in October, which recently held the European Open won by Ross Fisher, so we look forward to seeing many of you there. In the meantime we wish both Neil and Andy the best of luck at Bovey Castle as they represent Jack Barclay and we will let you know how they get on later in the year.
The next date for the diary are:
London Club, Tuesday 14th October
