H.R. Owen Classic Cars

Realise the dream of classic car ownership – with complete peace of mind.

What was your dream car when you were too young to drive? We all have one, from the Athena poster Countach to the cool of 007’s DB5. And as classic cars continue to rise in value, more and more enthusiasts are investing in the cars of their youthful dreams. With many investments generating little interest, a classic car could be a far better use for those funds – and a lot more enjoyable, too. After all, you can’t drive an investment portfolio to Supercar Sunday at Goodwood.

Of course, there are pitfalls. Choose unwisely and the ‘investment’ can be a bottomless pit of restoration costs. Fortunately, with H.R. Owen Classic Cars your modern classic will be a joy to own and drive. H.R. Owen Classic Cars will also act as brokers for any classic cars you may wish to sell, and with a blue-chip client base they’re well placed to find you a buyer.

H.R. Owen Classic Cars will source specific models you’re looking for, as well as retailing carefully selected classic models from a 550 Maranello to a Diablo. The new division offers servicing, maintenance, repairs and restorations to factory standards, often with the expertise of technicians who worked on the same cars when they were new.

With the explosion of interest in classic cars there are many specialists out there. But few can offer the direct link to the manufacturers that H.R. Owen, the UK’s leading luxury and high performance car retailer, can. So if you’re considering adding a classic to your dream garage, H.R. Owen Classic Cars will help you realise the dream - with no risk of it turning into a nightmare.

The 512 BBi was introduced at the 1981 Frankfurt Salon, to replace the 512 BB model, the “i” suffix denoting a change from carburetors to fuel injection. Apart from the adoption of fuel injection, in line with the other models in the Ferrari range at the time, there were minor cosmetic and mechanical changes. Externally the new model was recognisable by the re-designed rear bumper and wheels, the side NACA duct finished in black and the body-colour wing mirror. Inside, the classic Connolly leather seats featured a central wool textile insert and the car was fitted with air conditioning and central locking as standard.
