Cygnet
The car comes with a wide variety of advanced driver-convenience features and safety equipment as standard. And as well as being a pragmatic solution to the problems of city driving, its bodywork and interior can be made still more distinctive with a wide range of bespoke styling options.
Aston Martin’s take on a fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly city car is ideal for commuters who wish to combine quirky style with practicality. The Cygnet is an able performer in built-up areas, achieving a combined fuel economy figure of 56.5mpg and carbon emissions of just 116g/km with the assistance of its Stop & Start technology.
Overview
At 3078mm long and 1680mm wide (excluding the door mirrors, which are electrically retractable) and with a kerb-to-kerb turning circle of four metres, the Cygnet is agile enough to deal with the everyday frustrations of town drivers. Its size enables you to park along crowded avenues and in the most constricted parking bays. Its light, accurate steering makes it possible to negotiate urban hazards with ease.
The 1.33 litre Dual VVT-1 engine is assured at lower speeds, whilst the front-engine, front-wheel drive layout means the Cygnet retains its poise on sharp bends. You can choose between the standard six-speed manual gearbox and an optional automatic CVT transmission, which removes the need for gear changes in city traffic.

Technology
The Cygnet’s interior is made of fine materials and is extensively customisable. The two-tone leather and Alcantara upholstery is available in a wide variety of colours and hues. Comfort and convenience is further heightened by an assortment of standard features including climate control, a satellite navigation system with Bluetooth® connectivity, a keyless start system and a CD player with an aux-in socket.
Active and passive safety features ensure that the driver and passengers receive the maximum possible protection from accidents. Anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Control work together to avoid dangerous skids, whilst Emergency Brake Assist can be crucial in preventing low-speed, nose-to-tail collisions. Front airbags, front and rear curtain airbags and a driver’s knee airbag shield the occupants in case an accident does occur.
